Engineer Ahmed Abdel Gaber Abdallah, Head of the Beni Suef New City Development Authority, held a meeting with officials from the companies responsible for executing the ongoing housing projects in the city. The projects discussed included the presidential initiative units under “Housing for All Egyptians – Low-Income Track” as well as the middle-income housing project “Diarna.”
The main objective of the meeting was to follow up on the progress of these projects, review the latest challenges and developments, and work on finding solutions that would accelerate development and increase achievement rates.
This move comes in line with the directives of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, who stressed the importance of prioritizing housing projects in new cities. The Minister also emphasized the need for continuous monitoring of contractors’ performance to ensure compliance with set timelines, accelerate the delivery of housing units to citizens, and guarantee quality that meets expectations at the earliest possible date.
During the meeting, the current stages of work across the different sites and the achieved completion percentages were reviewed. The discussion aimed to overcome any obstacles that might hinder project implementation and to enhance performance efficiency in order to achieve the targeted results. The Head of the Authority urged companies to speed up completion of works in line with the approved specifications and standards, while adhering strictly to the schedules to ensure timely delivery of high-quality housing units to citizens.
In a related context, Engineer Ahmed Abdel Gaber Abdallah carried out a field tour to inspect road development and upgrading works in the city’s First Residential District. The tour included following up on the execution of the surface layer of the roads. He explained that the ongoing works in the First Residential District (Al-Yasmeen Axis) are part of the road maintenance project being carried out according to the highest quality standards, with the goal of improving services provided to city residents and enhancing the overall infrastructure.
