Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted an inspection tour of the North Teseen Axis in New Cairo. The visit aimed to follow up on the ongoing development works and to enhance services and infrastructure along the axis. He was accompanied by officials from the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the head of the city authority.
During the tour, the Minister reviewed progress on the expansion of the axis, road and lighting system upgrades, as well as updates on the implementation of utility networks, including electricity and sewage. He also examined the different stages of paving works and urban coordination of the connected roads, ensuring smooth traffic flow and stronger integration between the city’s main axes.
The Minister stressed the significance of the North Teseen Axis as a vital point in reinforcing the city’s infrastructure. He emphasized the need to adhere to the set timelines for project completion in line with the highest quality standards, ensuring the axis operates efficiently and swiftly. This, he noted, would facilitate mobility and improve the level of services provided to New Cairo’s residents.
For his part, Engineer Abdel Raouf El-Ghaity, Head of the New Cairo City Authority, explained that the development of this axis is part of a comprehensive plan to improve the road network and main axes across the city. The overarching goal of the project is to boost transport efficiency and serve diverse residential and commercial areas, with continuous oversight from the Permanent Utilities Committee to guarantee implementation in accordance with international standards.
The Minister concluded the tour by reaffirming the ministry’s commitment to continuing the development of infrastructure and road axes in New Cairo. This reflects the state’s dedication to providing integrated and high-quality services for residents of new cities, while ensuring smooth traffic and a high level of safety for all road users.
