Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, arrived in Matrouh Governorate to follow up on the progress of several developmental and service projects supervised by entities affiliated with the Ministry of Housing. The minister was received at the governorate’s headquarters by Major General Khaled Shuaib, Governor of Matrouh, in the presence of officials from both the ministry and the governorate.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny expressed his delight at visiting Matrouh Governorate, praising the strong cooperation between the ministry and the governorate, particularly in the North Western Coast area. He explained that the visit aims to oversee the implementation of projects carried out by the ministry through its affiliated bodies, including the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, the National Authority for Drinking Water and Wastewater, and the Central Agency for Reconstruction. The minister emphasized his commitment to supporting the governorate and its residents in all fields related to the ministry’s work, including water, wastewater, housing, and utilities projects.

For his part, Major General Khaled Shuaib welcomed the visit of the Minister of Housing, stressing the state’s interest in Matrouh Governorate and its keenness to follow up on the implementation of projects and ensure the acceleration of their completion rates.
It is scheduled that the minister will hold a joint meeting with the Governor of Matrouh and officials from the project-implementing bodies to present the progress of works, discuss implementation details, and remove any obstacles with the aim of improving services provided to citizens. The visit also includes field tours to inspect a number of projects currently under construction in the governorate.
