The tour came in response to the directives of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, which mandate regular follow-up on projects under implementation and prioritizing public utilities inside the tourist villages.
The housing officials began their tour with a visit to the Southern Expansion Site – New Marina by the Lake, where they monitored the progress of lake development works. The Head of the Authority stated that the completion rate of the first phase had reached about 85%. The tour also included an inspection of the progress of construction works, site landscaping, enhancement of green areas and squares, in addition to monitoring utility and road works within the Marina 8 project, where the completion rate has reached around 30%.
During the tour, the team also inspected the Wastewater Treatment Plant at Kilometer 102, which operates with a design capacity of 6,400 cubic meters per day and uses tertiary treatment technology to supply irrigation networks in some areas of Marina El-Alamein Tourist Center. They also reviewed the ongoing efforts to upgrade the station in cooperation with specialized operation and maintenance companies. The implementation rate of electromechanical works for the first phase of this station has reached about 90%.

Housing officials stressed the importance of accelerating implementation processes and ensuring regular monitoring in order to highlight the significant efforts undertaken by the New Urban Communities Authority in expansion projects in the southern Marina area, as a developmental extension that provides integrated tourism, investment, and residential opportunities with full services.
They also instructed the swift resolution of technical remarks, adherence to occupational safety and health standards, and the preparation of periodic reports to follow up on project progress. In addition, they emphasized the need to propose solutions to overcome obstacles and expedite the completion of all civil works and station entrances, in parallel with the execution of urgent electromechanical works.
