Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted a field tour today to inspect the progress of several vital projects, including the New Marina Lakes Project and the Bogaz Project for water delivery to the lake, in addition to villas and chalets in the Marina 8 area. The Minister was accompanied during the visit by ministry leaders, officials from the New Urban Communities Authority, as well as the heads of New Alamein City and the Tourism Villages Authority.
During his tour, the Minister reviewed various stages of work on the lakes project in the southern expansions of the New Marina area and listened to a detailed explanation of the project’s execution status, including the Bogaz Project to supply water to the lake. He also followed up on the ongoing progress of works, where Dr. Engineer Mohamed Khalafallah, Head of the Tourism Villages Authority, presented a report on the project.
The report highlighted the implementation of two pumping stations, two pipeline networks, a water tunnel, and the New Marina Lake covering a total area of 820,000 square meters. He noted that the daily excavation volume is witnessing a significant increase. In this context, the Minister stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to ensure completion according to the specified timeline.
The Minister continued his tour by inspecting the Marina 8 project, where he followed up on the progress of construction works and the stages of unit, infrastructure, and road implementation within the project. The project is being developed over a total area of 179 feddans and includes the construction of 243 buildings containing approximately 917 units, ranging between villas and chalets.
