Housing Ministry: Strong Public Demand for Housing for All Egyptians 7 Units for Middle-Income Citizens

Housing Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny confirmed that the reservation of units under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” for middle-income citizens is witnessing strong demand through the priority booking system in the announced cities. He explained that dividing the online reservation days helps make the process easier for citizens.

Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, stated that the booking website operated efficiently without technical issues, thanks to upgrades to its digital infrastructure to meet citizens’ expectations. She added that reservations have been completed in 5 cities, covering 7,397 units, while bookings for additional units open today in several governorates, with a total of 7,221 units available.

As part of its efforts to assist applicants who were not successful in securing a unit during the booking days in the selected cities, the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund decided to reschedule the reservation date for these citizens. Accordingly, the new booking date will be Sunday, August 17, 2025, instead of Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

The CEO explained that the Fund will compile and list all remaining housing units in various cities from across all online booking days related to the first phase of the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative for middle-income citizens. This data will be compiled into a PDF file and published on the Fund’s official website: https://shmff.gov.eg/.

She pointed out that the aim of this step is to give citizens who were unable to secure a unit enough time to review the file and learn about the available options. This will allow them to make informed decisions and choose the unit they wish to reserve easily, which prompted the Fund to postpone the final booking date by five days.

In this context, Mai Abdel Hamid noted that a number of housing units remain available across several cities, including: 17 units in New Capital Gardens City, 155 units in October Gardens City, 31 units in 6th of October City, 271 units in 15th of May City, and 410 units in Badr City.
