Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, embarked on a field tour beginning with a visit to the “Fustat Hills Gardens” project. This visit comes as part of the ministry’s regular follow-up on major national projects, especially those of historical and touristic significance in the heart of the capital.
Accompanying the Minister during the tour were Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Deputy Governor of Cairo for the Eastern District, several officials from the Ministry of Housing and the New Urban Communities Authority, along with leaders from Cairo Governorate. The aim was to review the latest developments in the project and discuss updates regarding the ongoing phases.
The Fustat Hills Gardens project is considered one of the most prominent development and recreational initiatives undertaken by the state in the Historic Cairo area. It is being developed into the largest open heritage park in Cairo, equipped with integrated facilities and services. The project seeks to restore the cultural and historical character of the area while enhancing its touristic and cultural value.
During the visit, the Minister of Housing and the Governor of Cairo will follow up on all aspects and components of the project, including the ongoing construction works and completion rates.
