Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, has issued eight decisions to remove encroachments and building violations in areas under the supervision of the West Port Said City Development Authority and the First Sector of the Northwestern North Coast.
The minister stressed the ministry’s ongoing efforts to combat violations and encroachments in new cities through regular inspection campaigns to preserve the cities’ urban aesthetics. He emphasized that heads of city authorities are fully responsible for ensuring compliance with these directives.
The demolition orders include the removal of construction violations in a villa located in a tourist village at kilometer 41.5 on the Alexandria–Matrouh Road. These violations include a 50-meter-long wall built without a permit.
Additional violations in West Port Said City include a 1,335-meter-long concrete wall, a building covering an area of 1,144 square meters, a concrete basin covering 900 square meters, and a ground-floor building with stairs, all without permits. The decisions also address unapproved architectural modifications in other villas.
