Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbiny issued an official apology to the residents of Geziret El-Dahab for the recent water outage in the area. He emphasized that the Ministry had made significant efforts to restore water services.
The minister explained that over 50 water tanks were deployed to meet the needs of residents until the completion of maintenance work and the full return of water services. He also noted that the Ministry conducted a comprehensive review of all generators to ensure water pumping capability in case of any future emergencies.
For his part, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly stated that he held a meeting with the chambers of commerce to discuss price reductions, highlighting the success of the country’s economic reform efforts. He affirmed that the state had secured all necessary foreign currencies for production requirements and that no factories had shut down due to the reform measures.
Madbouly added that he instructed the commercial unions to lower prices in the coming period, especially in light of the recent decline in the US dollar exchange rate. He confirmed that a follow-up meeting would be held next week to implement a price reduction initiative.
