Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, continues to monitor the pace of progress on a number of vital projects being implemented in Sheikh Zayed City through periodic reports and field inspections carried out by officials from the ministry.
These projects include oversight of infrastructure works related to the city’s expansion, the implementation of a new water transmission line from the Berqash intake station, and the final finishing stages of the “Janna 4” housing project. Ongoing urban development efforts within the city were also reviewed.
The minister emphasized the importance of adhering strictly to the set timelines and technical specifications. He directed an increase in on-site supervision and the swift resolution of any obstacles impeding progress, aiming to boost completion rates and achieve the desired developmental goals.
Engineer Marwa Hussein, Head of the Sheikh Zayed City Development Authority, explained that ongoing utility projects include sewage networks with diameters reaching up to 1200 mm, in addition to main and distribution water pipelines. She noted that the new expansions in the city have been designed to reflect the same architectural character of Sheikh Zayed City, showcasing the authority’s commitment to preserving the city’s distinctive urban identity.
Janna 4 Project Nears Delivery
During her inspection tour, the Head of the Authority followed up on the final stages of construction for 34 buildings within the “Janna 4” project. Final finishing touches are currently underway, including landscaping, lighting, and paving, in preparation for handing over the residential units to buyers soon. Strict adherence to quality standards and the approved schedule has been affirmed.
