Minister of Housing and Dakahlia Governor Follow Up on Implementation Status of New Mansoura City Projects

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, visited Dakahlia Governorate to follow up on the projects of New Mansoura City. During the visit, he held a meeting with Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, along with officials from relevant bodies to discuss implementation obstacles and explore solutions to expedite progress for the benefit of citizens. The Minister praised the strong collaboration with the governorate, emphasizing the ministry’s commitment to projects aimed at improving residents’ quality of life. He also expressed his readiness to overcome challenges, closely monitor work on the ground, and listen to citizens’ concerns.

The Minister reaffirmed his full support for Dakahlia’s projects, especially those under the Decent Life Initiative for the development of the Egyptian countryside. He stressed the importance of accelerating operations to meet residents’ needs and enhance their living standards. Moreover, he confirmed that the required resources would be provided for all projects included in the investment plan.

For his part, Major General Tarek Marzouk expressed his appreciation for the Minister’s visit to Dakahlia, considering it a key step toward resolving issues related to drinking water and sanitation services. He praised Minister El-Sherbiny’s hands-on approach in following up on projects on-site, describing it as an executive model that brings national projects into clearer focus and alleviates the burdens on citizens.

During the meeting, the Minister instructed the preparation of a comprehensive plan to deliver the available residential units in the city, in addition to the land plots that have already been allocated and fully equipped with utilities. He also called for regular monitoring of all ongoing projects to ensure they progress in accordance with the defined timeline.

The Minister also discussed with the Governor several complaints submitted by residents of the city. Solutions and measures taken to address these complaints were reviewed, with an emphasis on meeting the citizens’ needs. These solutions included providing a range of services within the city and strengthening the transportation network. In this context, Engineer El-Sherbiny instructed the development of a comprehensive plan to provide all necessary logistics for vital services in the city, while focusing on enhancing and expanding the transport links connecting New Mansoura City to other regions.

Governor Marzouk highlighted the importance of equipping the city with efficient transportation systems, noting that transportation is a fundamental factor in achieving urban development and cannot be overlooked.
