Engineer Kamal El-Din Ahmed Bahgat, Deputy Head of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) for Development and Construction, along with Engineer Ahmed Omran, Deputy Head for Utilities Sector, conducted an inspection tour in New Borg El Arab City. The visit aimed to follow up on the progress of ongoing projects across various sectors. They were accompanied by Engineer El-Sayed Hammam, Head of the City Authority, along with several officials from the local administration. This tour comes as part of the directives issued by Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, who emphasized continuous monitoring of projects in the new cities.
During the tour, the officials reviewed the progress of constructing 209 apartment buildings as part of the sixth phase of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in the Ninth Residential District. It was stressed that adherence to the set timelines and the application of the highest quality standards during execution are essential.
As part of the same visit, the delegation also inspected the site of the overpass being constructed over the route of the high-speed electric train, which intersects with the entrance of New Borg El Arab City near the Kafoury Road. The Head of the City Authority explained the project’s components and stages of implementation according to the approved schedule.
The visit also included monitoring the landscaping, planting works, and site coordination along the city’s main traffic corridors. In addition, officials followed up on the development of the western entrance road, which links the city to the North Coast, commonly known as the “Hassan Allam Axis.”
