Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted a field tour in Sheikh Zayed City to follow up on cleanliness, landscaping, irrigation works, as well as the maintenance of green spaces and roads. He was accompanied by several officials from the Ministry of Housing, the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), and heads of development authorities of 6th of October and Sheikh Zayed cities.
The tour began at the city’s third entrance, passing through Al-Bustan Road and Investor Road, and included an inspection of the Central Axis. The Minister then proceeded to the First District to assess the level of cleanliness and the ongoing maintenance of green areas. The tour concluded with an exit through the city’s second entrance, which overlooks the 26th of July Corridor.
During the tour, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny stressed the importance of promptly removing waste from road maintenance and construction areas overlooking main routes to preserve the city’s aesthetic appeal. He also emphasized the need for regular upkeep of the green spaces and landscaping along both sides of the roads and in the median islands. Additionally, he called for a review of land allocated along these roads to ensure optimal usage.
