Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting at the Ministry of Youth and Sports headquarters in New Alamein City to discuss a range of joint projects and enhance cooperation between the two ministries.
The discussion covered several ongoing initiatives, including the “Nady El-Nady” (Club of the Club) facilities in 6th of October City, El Shorouk, and the New Administrative Capital, as well as the “Gezira Youth Center 2” in 6th of October. A proposal for the establishment of a comprehensive sports city in New Alamein was also reviewed. This proposed city is expected to feature a large sports stadium, a world-class sports medical hospital, multiple sports halls, and facilities for hosting various athletic events and tournaments.
Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny praised the ongoing cooperation between the two ministries in the development of new cities, emphasizing the importance of providing both social and sports services for residents. He stressed that the joint efforts aim to preserve and enhance public facilities and investments, ensuring high-quality services for citizens. He also called for continued coordination to maximize the use of sports infrastructure.
On his part, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy highlighted the significance of integration with the Ministry of Housing in implementing youth and sports projects that align with the aspirations of young people and contribute to improving the quality of life for citizens.
