Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, reviewed the progress of several housing projects in the cities of Badr, Damietta, Beni Suef, and New October. These projects include residential units allocated for low- and middle-income citizens under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians,” in addition to Green Housing units, the “Diarna” medium-income housing project, and premium housing units. The updates come in light of recent inspection tours conducted by ministry officials and detailed project reports.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny emphasized the importance of completing the ongoing projects according to the designated timelines and delivering units to eligible recipients on schedule. He also stressed the need to accelerate the implementation of utility infrastructure to meet the needs of incoming residents, along with continuous follow-up on the progress of new housing projects to ensure compliance with approved technical standards and deadlines.
In this context, Engineer Ashraf Fathy, Head of the New Damietta City Authority, along with officials from the authority, inspected the implementation of the “Diarna” medium-income housing project located south of the First District. He urged the contracting companies to strictly adhere to specifications and the project timeline and instructed the supervision team to submit daily progress reports.
In a related development, Engineer Ahmed Abdel Gaber, Head of the New Beni Suef City Authority, along with his team, inspected buildings under the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative within the middle-income housing segment. They reviewed the final finishing stages, general site landscaping, lighting network installations, and the paving of surrounding roads and car parking areas to expedite project completion.
Authority officials also supervised the execution of infrastructure networks—such as roads, gas, and telecommunications—in the West Airport Sector, ensuring all essential services and utilities are in place in preparation for the unit handover to citizens. Additionally, they continued their inspections of “Housing for All Egyptians” projects in other parts of the city.
Engineer Mohamed Abdel Aziz Amer, Head of the Badr City Authority, accompanied by city officials, inspected the progress of the 92-building premium housing project. The focus of the visit was to monitor roadworks and site coordination. He highlighted the need to accelerate progress while maintaining full compliance with technical specifications to help fulfill the state’s plan to provide adequate housing for citizens in fully integrated service environments.
