Under the directives of the Ministry of Housing, the New October City Development Authority continues to advance its housing projects, including the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” and the Green Housing Project. The sixth phase of the initiative features 55,000 residential units aimed at low-income citizens, while the Green Housing Project is set to deliver 14,000 eco-friendly units in the West El-Matar area, built according to sustainability standards.
West El-Matar has emerged as one of the city’s largest housing zones, with approximately 104,000 residential units currently under construction. These projects represent an investment exceeding EGP 60 billion, in addition to infrastructure developments valued at over EGP 20 billion.
Work progress is closely monitored to ensure compliance with quality standards and project timelines, while maintaining a suitable working environment for the executing contractors. The City Authority reserves the right to reclaim sites under specific conditions, with contractors held financially responsible for removing any violations.
