As part of his field tour, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted an inspection visit to monitor progress on several development projects in New Nubaria City. The tour included checking the main roads and thoroughfares, the sewage lift station in the “Ebny Beitak” (A & B) area, and the construction site of a new basic education school. The Minister was accompanied by several officials from the Ministry of Housing, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the Head of the New Nubaria City Authority.
During his visit, the Minister reviewed a number of key roads and axes in the city to follow up on the ongoing work and achievements so far. He stressed the importance of continuing regular maintenance of landscaping and green spaces along the main roads and medians. Additionally, he directed that unused plots of land be repurposed effectively and that waste removal efforts be enhanced to maintain overall cleanliness and environmental quality.
As part of the tour, the Minister visited the sewage lift station located in the “Ebny Beitak” area. The station has a capacity of 5,200 cubic meters per day and serves several residential neighborhoods in the city. El-Sherbiny listened to a detailed briefing about the operational status of the station and emphasized the need for consistent maintenance and efficient operation to ensure reliable performance.
The tour also included a visit to the construction site of the “Mostaqbal Basic Education School” in the Ebny Beitak district. The school comprises 44 classrooms and has been fully constructed and is currently being handed over to the Ministry of Education in preparation for opening. The Minister inspected the classrooms and specialized laboratories, including science and computer labs, and highlighted the importance of adhering to hygiene and safety standards. He also stressed the need to ensure that all facilities are fully ready to provide a safe and supportive educational environment for students and staff prior to the official start of operations.
