In a swift response and a clear commitment to promoting development and facilitating the execution of infrastructure projects, Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has issued a decision to form a technical field committee to visit the site of the stalled sanitation project in the “Awlad Yehia” local council and the city of “Dar El Salam” in Sohag Governorate. The purpose of this committee is to investigate the reasons behind the delay in project implementation.
This decision came during a meeting between the Minister of Housing and MP Ahmed Koura, a member of the House of Representatives’ Transportation and Communications Committee and a representative of the Homat Al Watan Party’s parliamentary bloc. The meeting was also attended by Major General Engineer Amin Shawky Adel Mahmoud Hassanain, Chairman of the National Authority for Potable Water and Sanitary Drainage.
MP Ahmed Koura expressed his gratitude to the Minister for his prompt response to the demands of the local citizens. He highlighted the project’s delay and the executing authority’s failure to adhere to the set timeline, which has negatively impacted sanitation services in the area. In return, the Minister praised MP Koura’s continuous follow-up on public service projects and stressed that there would be no tolerance for negligence in the implementation of national projects.
The meeting reflects the ongoing cooperation between the government and parliament in serving citizens and achieving sustainable development.
