Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has issued nine decisions to remove building violations and encroachments within the boundaries of West Port Said City. The Minister emphasized the ongoing efforts to eliminate violations, preserve the architectural identity of new cities, and address encroachments on state-owned land.
The decisions mandate the removal of violations related to construction on plots of land of varying sizes. These include buildings erected without obtaining the necessary permits, in addition to lacking any legal documentation, such as ownership contracts or building licenses.
The orders assign the West Port Said City Development Authority, in coordination with the Construction Police and the relevant local police department, the task of carrying out the demolition operations.
