Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, along with Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, followed up on the progress of development projects in New Beni Suef City. The review took place in the presence of officials from the ministry and the governorate. Eng. Ahmed Abdel Ghaffar, Head of the New Beni Suef City Authority, pointed out that total investments in the city had reached approximately EGP 4.675 billion by June 2025—more than double what had been spent before 2014. He also reviewed the projects implemented up to that point.
The Minister of Housing and the Governor of Beni Suef inspected the implementation of residential units under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians,” which includes 84 buildings comprising 2,016 units for low-income citizens and 6 buildings with 144 units for middle-income citizens. Additionally, they followed up on the “Diarna” project, which includes 10 buildings and 260 housing units.
Infrastructure projects such as potable water, sanitation, roads, and electricity were also reviewed. Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny instructed intensified on-ground follow-ups for these projects and the development of detailed timelines for infrastructure works. He also emphasized the importance of capitalizing on available investment opportunities and ordered the preparation of a comprehensive report on them.
