Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, chaired a video conference meeting to follow up on drinking water and sanitation projects in Minya Governorate, with the participation of officials from the Ministry. The meeting focused on advancing the progress of sanitation projects under the presidential “Decent Life” initiative and emphasized the importance of completing them according to the set timeline.
During the meeting, Dr. Ismail reviewed the measures taken by the executing companies and instructed coordination with the project consultant to finalize completed projects and transfer their responsibility to the Minya Drinking Water and Sanitation Company. He also stressed the importance of continuous field follow-ups and strict adherence to occupational health and safety procedures.
The Deputy Minister was briefed on the procedures of hydraulic balance studies for the drinking water networks and directed efforts to monitor citizen complaints regarding water supply, especially in the Al-Adwa Center, and to respond promptly to these issues. He further emphasized the need to increase the number of mobile service vehicles in Minya, with a focus on critical and high-density areas.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Ismail underlined the necessity of adhering to the approved timelines for projects within the “Decent Life” presidential initiative. The meeting was attended by several officials from the Ministry of Housing and representatives from water companies.
