Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, held a meeting to monitor the progress of the Central Business District (CBD) project in the New Administrative Capital. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Chinese company “CSCEC.” During the session, the minister reviewed the execution status of the Crescent Tower, including work on the entrance and ground floor, as well as the Fairmont Hotel, residential towers, and office buildings. The minister stressed the importance of accelerating construction and completing all finishing works on schedule. He also emphasized the need for continuous follow-up to address any observations and ensure final delivery.
The Central Business District in the New Administrative Capital comprises 10 mixed-use towers with a total built-up area of 806,000 square meters, with building heights ranging between 80 and 175 meters. In addition, the district includes five residential towers encompassing 1,700 residential units across a built-up area of 102,000 square meters, with heights ranging from 152 to 200 meters.
The area also features the Crescent Towers (four interconnected towers) with a height of 64 meters, hosting hotel and commercial facilities. The district is crowned by the Iconic Tower, the tallest structure in Africa, standing at 400 meters. It houses an international hotel, hotel apartments, office units, and a commercial zone with various services across a total built-up area of 266,000 square meters.
