Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, arrived in Minya Governorate yesterday, where he was received by Major General Emad Kadwany, the Governor of Minya. The visit comes as part of the minister’s efforts to follow up on the progress of ongoing projects, including a visit to the Drinking Water and Wastewater Company in Minya City. During the visit, a detailed presentation was delivered outlining the current status of drinking water and wastewater projects, highlighting implementation rates, current progress, and completion percentages — especially in villages covered by the “Decent Life” initiative.

The minister is also conducting an inspection tour of six water purification and wastewater treatment plants located in the Maghagha and Al-Adwa districts, as part of his commitment to overseeing project implementation across the governorate.
The itinerary includes a visit to the wastewater treatment plant in Bartabat village and the drinking water plant in Bani Wallems village, both located in the Maghagha district. He will also inspect the drinking water stations in Al-Adwa City (1 and 2), in addition to the new Al-Adwa station and the Safanya village station in the Al-Adwa district. The minister will conclude his visit with an inspection of the drinking water station in Belhasa village, located in the Maghagha district.
