Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Support Fund, announced that registration for the latest announcement was opened less than two weeks ago. It was initially scheduled to close next Wednesday. However, the reservation period for the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians 7” for middle-income citizens has been extended until June 18.
In a phone interview, Mai explained that 15,000 residential units were offered, including ready-to-move-in units and others scheduled for delivery within 12 to 36 months. The units are distributed as 10,000 in new urban cities and 5,000 in various governorates. Mai Abdel Hamid also noted that the total number of citizens who have applied and paid the registration fees so far has reached around 19,000, of which 15,500 have paid the down payment but have not yet completed the registration process on the website.
