Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, received Giza Governor, Eng. Adel El-Naggar, to follow up on drinking water, sanitation, housing, and road projects in the governorate. The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry of Housing and the New Urban Communities Authority. El-Sherbiny emphasized the importance of the meeting in overcoming obstacles and accelerating project implementation to provide services to citizens. For his part, El-Naggar thanked El-Sherbiny for the support provided and reviewed the governorate’s needs for water and sanitation projects.
The meeting addressed the status of operation and maintenance of drinking water and sanitation stations in Giza Governorate, including expansions, new constructions, and efforts to secure water in certain areas. The discussion also included sanitation projects and ongoing works to meet the governorate’s needs. Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny directed the preparation of a comprehensive vision for the governorate’s requirements in this field, in coordination with the concerned authorities. The meeting also discussed projects by the Central Agency for Reconstruction within Giza, including road development, housing projects, and their integration into the transportation network, with an emphasis on continued cooperation between the Ministry of Housing and the governorate.
