Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Egypt’s Minister of Housing, conducted an inspection of the M8 by the Lake project and the “New Marina” Lake Project during his visit to the city of New Alamein. Accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Housing, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the head of the Tourist Villages Authority, the Minister received a detailed briefing on the implementation progress of the southern expansion lakeworks from Dr. Mohamed Khalafallah, an engineering consultant, and followed up closely on the project’s development stages.
The Minister also inspected the Boghaz Project, which aims to supply water to the New Marina Lake. This project includes the construction of two pump stations, two pipeline lines, and a water tunnel, covering a total area of 820,000 square meters, with an increasing daily excavation rate.
Furthermore, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny examined the road improvement works for the service roads within the Marina Villages and the development of the main gates. He emphasized the importance of installing and intensifying directional signage, completing the landscaping and site coordination at the highest level, and ensuring this marks a turning point in transportation and access throughout the region.
