Social Housing Fund Renews Warning to Citizens Against Paying Money to Field Inspectors

Mrs. Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Support Fund, confirmed that legal action has been taken against an inspector who attempted to defraud a client by requesting money in exchange for facilitating access to a housing unit. An official report was filed, the inspector was terminated by the inspection company, and their name was added to a blacklist. Abdel Hamid warned citizens against paying any money to inspectors or anyone claiming to expedite their procedures.

Mrs. Mai Abdel Hamid explained that the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Support Fund communicates with the inspection company to verify the identity of any inspector if a complaint is filed. If the person is found to be an employee of the company, they are dismissed and barred from further dealings. If repeated complaints are received about the company, the contract with it is terminated. If the individual is not affiliated with the company, the Fund takes legal action against them for impersonation.
