Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny, Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has arrived in the Sultanate of Oman to participate in the opening of the Oman Real Estate Exhibition and Conference, held alongside the 20th Design and Build Week in Muscat. The event was attended by Omani officials. The minister expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and his pleasure in participating, highlighting the importance of exchanging expertise in the real estate sector between Egypt and Oman. He also toured various project models in Oman, including a development by Talaat Moustafa Group, affirming the commitment to enhancing cooperation between the two countries in this field.
Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny praised the organization of the conference and exhibition, describing it as a valuable platform for showcasing investment opportunities and urban development projects. During his visit, the Minister toured the exhibition halls and commended the residential units and real estate project models. He also witnessed the signing of an agreement between the Omani Ministry of Housing and Talaat Moustafa Group to develop two major projects in western Muscat, with investments amounting to 1.5 billion Omani rials (approximately USD 3.9 billion).
The agreement was signed by Dr. Khalfan Al-Shueili, Omani Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, and Mr. Hisham Talaat Moustafa, Chairman of Talaat Moustafa Group, during the real estate conference in Oman. The conference focuses on strengthening the legislative framework of the real estate sector, empowering homeowners’ associations, expanding mortgage financing tools, adopting sustainable city models, and promoting public-private partnerships to accelerate development projects. Additionally, the conference aims to present diverse housing solutions that meet community needs and ensure housing equity.
