Prime Minister Follows Up on the Development of Imbaba Airport Land and Aziz Ezzat Area

Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to follow up on the development progress of Imbaba Airport land and the Aziz Ezzat area, in the presence of several officials. During the meeting, Madbouly stressed the importance of creating a comprehensive vision for developing unplanned areas and improving the services available to residents.

The Minister of Housing presented the current status of the Imbaba Airport development project, noting that the renovation of 117 apartment buildings had been completed, with 80% progress achieved on the facades of 93 buildings and 85.5% of defects repaired in 100 buildings.

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny highlighted the investment opportunities available in the Giza Park project, located on the former Imbaba Airport site. He explained that a comprehensive vision had been formulated for managing the park and leveraging its strategic location. Several proposals for operating the park were reviewed, which included plans to enhance services, convert a side building into a cultural center, improve infrastructure, and expand green spaces. A designated area for hosting seasonal exhibitions was also allocated to support productive families.

During the meeting, Engineer Khaled Siddiq presented the development steps for the Kit Kat area in Imbaba.

The Chairman of the Urban Development Fund described the Kit Kat area, stating that it covers 351 feddans, while the Aziz Ezzat residential area within it spans 42 feddans.

He added that the Kit Kat area is unplanned and contains government housing along with some educational and industrial services, making it necessary to redesign the area.

Engineer Khaled Siddiq also noted that coordination is underway with Giza Governorate to propose the necessary mechanisms for the comprehensive redevelopment of the Kit Kat area.

Additionally, the Governor of Giza presented the governorate’s efforts, in collaboration with relevant authorities, to advance the development of Imbaba Airport land and the Aziz Ezzat area.
