The Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, has issued four decisions to demolish building violations and land encroachments in the Western North Coast and New Mallawi City. These decisions come as part of an ongoing effort to monitor and remove illegal construction in several other cities as well. The Minister emphasized the importance of eliminating violations and encroachments on land affiliated with the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), highlighting that heads of city development authorities bear full responsibility for enforcement. The orders include demolitions of illegal foundations, columns, and multiple floors constructed in specific areas along the Western North Coast.
The 15th of May City Development Authority carried out a demolition campaign targeting a violation involving the erection of a 500-meter-long tree fence that had encroached on approximately 5,000 square meters of cultivated land. The campaign was led by Major General Omar El-Farouk, with the participation of security leaders. Engineer Ali Saad clarified that the encroachment involved lands allocated to other citizens.
Meanwhile, the Sadat City Development Authority, under the leadership of Engineer Yasser Abdel Halim Hassan, continued its campaign to remove street obstructions, clearing them from Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Street. Engineer Mohamed Abdel Aziz Amer also reported a similar campaign to remove encroachments in the Al-Safwa 2nd District, in coordination with the Urban Development Police.
In Shorouk City, Engineer Bassam Mohamed Fadel, Head of the Development Authority, led a campaign to remove violations and encroachments. The campaign included dismantling a wooden framework and confiscating construction equipment from the Ramses Compound. Engineer Ahmed Abdel Gaber, Head of the New Beni Suef City Authority, also reported the demolition of building violations on three plots of land in the “Build Your Home” area, carried out in coordination with the Urban Development Police.
In another development, Engineer Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud, Head of the New October City Development Authority, conducted a campaign to monitor concrete stations. The operation led to the seizure of 12 transport vehicles for various violations. Officials confirmed that monitoring efforts would continue in collaboration with the police to control illegal activities and called on citizens to comply with building regulations and the law.
