The Ministry of Housing, through the Social Housing Fund website, has announced the application requirements for the 2025 housing units. Key conditions include: the applicant must be an Egyptian citizen, at least 21 years old, and must not have previously received a subsidized housing unit for themselves or their family. In addition, applicants must not have benefited from any real estate financing support. Only one unit per family is allowed.

The Ministry of Housing stated that the payment system is based on mortgage financing with reduced interest rates, set according to income brackets:

Low-income applicants: Annual interest rate of 8% with a down payment of EGP 50,000.

Middle-income applicants: Annual interest rate of up to 12%, with repayment periods extending up to 20 years and a down payment of EGP 100,000.
