Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, followed up on the implementation status of housing projects in Badr City, including road development, landscaping, and green spaces, as well as efforts to combat violations. The ongoing projects include the “Diarna” middle-income housing project, the “Zahret Al-Asima” (Capital Flower) project in the New Administrative Capital, and the distinguished housing project in the Fifth District. These fall within the ministry’s plan to provide suitable housing and support urban development across the republic.
Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny emphasized the importance of adhering to quality standards and regularly monitoring project completion rates. He also stressed the need for coordination with implementing companies to ensure timely delivery of housing units. Engineer Mohamed Hamdy and Engineer Mohamed Abdelaziz inspected the progress of the Diarna middle-income housing project, the third phase of the Zahret Al-Asima project, and the distinguished housing project in Badr City.
Housing officials listened to a detailed briefing from the engineers about the progress percentages and challenges facing project execution. Engineer Mohamed Hamdy highlighted the importance of meeting timelines and ensuring quality implementation. Engineer Mohamed Abdelaziz explained that electrical work, road infrastructure, and site coordination are currently underway for 295 buildings comprising 7,080 residential units in the third phase of Zahret Al-Asima. Additionally, the distinguished housing project includes 44 buildings with 1,056 housing units. The road development projects in the Second and Fourth Districts were also reviewed.
The Head of the City Authority confirmed the importance of improving the city’s urban appearance and overall environment, announcing the execution of landscaping and beautification works at the main entrance. This includes planting green areas and ornamental trees and installing modern irrigation systems. Pedestrian pathways have also been arranged to enhance the city’s visual appeal and attractiveness.
