Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, followed up on the progress of housing and utilities projects in Sadat City, with a strong emphasis on addressing violations. He stressed the importance of adhering to quality standards and project timelines for the delivery of housing units, highlighting that these projects are essential for providing decent housing and services to citizens. He also emphasized the need for regular monitoring of completion rates and coordination with executing companies to ensure quality.
Engineer Yasser Abdel Halim Hassan, Head of the Sadat City Development Authority, conducted an inspection tour of the construction sites for 82 residential buildings under the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative, which includes 1,968 units based on green housing standards. He also followed up on the “Diarna” middle-income housing project, ensuring progress and compliance with implementation specifications. The tour also included monitoring road and utility development, where he stressed the importance of execution quality and cleanliness of neighborhoods. Additionally, the expansion of the city’s central axis was inspected, with 5.2 km of the road already upgraded and a planned addition of 1.5 km to improve traffic flow.
The head of the authority also inspected the project to duplicate the raw water transmission line (1000 mm in diameter) from the intake point to the new purification plant, emphasizing the urgency of implementation and compliance with technical specifications. Engineer Yasser Abdel Halim Hassan further monitored service projects in the Al-Firdous and Al-Nour neighborhoods as part of the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative, reviewing the progress of new residential buildings.
