The Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, held an extensive meeting to follow up on the implementation of the presidential initiative “Decent Life” projects in the governorates of Aswan and Beni Suef. The meeting was attended by representatives of the executing companies and heads of sectors affiliated with the Ministry. The Minister emphasized the importance of these projects and the need to accelerate implementation rates, especially as the completion of the first phase approaches, to ensure their entry into service and the expansion of the beneficiary base. He also stressed the importance of field monitoring to achieve the intended goals.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny explained that the “Decent Life” projects have a direct impact on citizens’ lives, as they enhance their quality of life and provide a wide range of services in the targeted villages, including drinking water projects, sanitation, and service facilities. He confirmed that project follow-up will be conducted separately in each governorate to ensure that all details are addressed and that all available capabilities of the companies are utilized for successful completion.
The meeting also addressed all project-related details being implemented by the Ministry’s affiliated entities, including sanitation projects, treatment plants, water networks, and water stations in the centers and villages of Aswan and Beni Suef governorates. The implementation status of these projects and the ongoing coordination with the concerned entities to ensure rapid completion were reviewed.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister directed the need to intensify field monitoring of the projects in addition to continuing to hold periodic meetings, tracking the progress rates of each project weekly, and following up on all supply and installation works.
