Eng. Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud, Head of the New October City Development Authority, held an extensive meeting to follow up on the Green Housing Project. The meeting was attended by representatives of the executing companies and project consultants, in line with directives from the Minister of Housing to ensure regular monitoring of national projects.
Abdel Maqsoud clarified that 599 buildings are currently under construction, encompassing a total of 14,376 residential units as part of the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative, within the state’s sustainable housing plan. Progress rates were reviewed during the meeting, and challenges faced by work teams were discussed to develop mechanisms for overcoming them.
During the meeting, Eng. Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud emphasized the importance of accelerating the pace of construction while fully adhering to quality standards and environmental requirements under the Green Housing Initiative, which aims to improve quality of life and provide a healthy and safe environment for citizens.
The Authority Head also stressed the need for continuous coordination between the executing companies and consultants, in addition to thorough field monitoring to ensure efficient workflow and the achievement of objectives within the specified timelines.
