Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, inspected the Marina 8 project, the “Marina by the Lake” project, and the “Marina Walk” service promenade next to Marina 5, in addition to the bridge renovation works. He was accompanied by officials from the Ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority.
The Minister followed up on the progress of the housing projects in Marina 8, where the Head of the Tourist Villages Authority indicated that the project includes 243 buildings (villas, chalets, and apartment buildings) with an implementation rate reaching 45%. The Minister also listened to a briefing on the “New Marina” lake project, which includes two pump stations and an underground water tunnel, spanning an area of 820,000 m², with the daily execution rate steadily increasing.
The Minister of Housing listened to a briefing from the Head of the Tourist Villages Authority on the progress of the lakes within the southern expansions of the “New Marina by the Lake” project. He also reviewed the ongoing bridge renovation works, where Bridge 3 in Marina 5 has been completed, and preparations for Bridge 4 are underway following the end of the summer season. The project also includes the development of the vital Road 22 by increasing the lane width from 13 meters to 20 meters.
The Minister also inspected the works at the “Marina Walk” service promenade next to Marina 5, emphasizing the need to complete the project swiftly to meet visitors’ needs. He stressed the importance of accelerating execution rates for the tourist village projects on the North Coast, given the significant demand the area experienced last year.
