The Executive Council of Gharbia Governorate, headed by Major General Ashraf El-Gendy, approved the adoption of urban boundaries for 36 hamlets across various centers and cities within the governorate. This step contributes to the organization of construction and urban expansion. El-Gendy affirmed that the governorate has achieved a 100% approval rate for strategic plans for cities and villages and 97% for hamlets, with continuous work underway to complete the remaining boundaries. This achievement is the result of joint efforts with the General Organization for Physical Planning to ensure urban planning aligns with population growth and the comprehensive development requirements.
Major General Ashraf El-Gendy emphasized that the governorate is working to complete the strategic plans for the remaining hamlets in coordination with the General Organization for Physical Planning, following the adoption of urban boundaries for cities and villages. The goal is to facilitate legal procedures for citizens in obtaining building permits. He explained that the adoption of urban boundaries is an important step toward achieving urban stability and meeting citizens’ needs, stressing the state’s ongoing commitment to developing infrastructure to achieve balanced urban development.
The Governor of Gharbia directed the Survey Authority to expedite the signing of the new urban boundaries and to swiftly complete the field procedures, stressing that any delays in implementation will not be tolerated. He confirmed that signing the boundaries is a critical phase to ensure the activation of plans and to achieve stability for citizens wishing to build. He also pointed out the governorate’s commitment to implementing the state’s directives in urban planning while working toward fully completing the file in favor of citizens and comprehensive development.
