Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, concluded his tour by holding a meeting at the New Alamein City Authority to follow up on the progress of the city’s projects and the developmental initiatives along the Northwestern Coast.
The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority. During the meeting, the Minister listened to a presentation on the works in the new Ras El Hekma area, including projects for potable water, irrigation, the hotel, and administrative offices. Updates on the implementation of roads and infrastructure works in the “Shams El Hekma” area were also reviewed.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny reviewed the execution status of New Alamein City projects, including the handover of residential units in various projects such as the Mazarine compound and the beach towers. He also discussed plans for the operation of service projects and the sale of commercial stores, stressing the importance of delivering the units within the set timelines.
The Minister also followed up on the progress of tourism village projects such as Marina 8, which includes chalets and villas, alongside the implementation of infrastructure networks and electrical works. Additionally, the development project for a specific area in Marina 8 and the status of the lake project in New Marina were discussed.
The meeting also addressed the status of work on the beaches of New Alamein City and operational proposals. The Minister reviewed traffic studies and the connectivity between main roads. He directed the swift completion of works, along with a review of maintenance, lighting, and landscaping efforts. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister requested the preparation of a weekly report on the delivery of units across different projects, emphasizing the importance of unifying efforts to complete the works on schedule and with the highest quality.
