The New Urban Communities Authority has announced the delivery schedule for residential units in New Mansoura City for individuals who have not yet received their units. Beneficiaries must visit the Housing and Development Bank branch in Gamasa every Tuesday from April 15 to May 6, 2025, to complete the necessary procedures. Failure to comply will result in the cancellation of unit allocation.
In another context, Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing Fund, confirmed that the Green Building Initiative represents an eco-friendly model in Africa. The initiative aims to reduce energy consumption by 27%, carbon dioxide emissions by 33%, water consumption by 40%, and solid waste by 70%. More than 25,000 housing units have been approved under the Green Pyramid Rating System across several cities.
The CEO explained that the cost of constructing green housing units is higher than traditional units, but the environmental benefits outweigh the cost differences. She also noted that the fund has received green housing design evaluation certificates in four cities, where a total of 25,494 environmentally friendly housing units have been developed by the Green Pyramid Rating System.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing and Utilities, participated in a dialogue session with a delegation from the Saudi Chambers of Commerce and the Saudi-Egyptian Business Council to enhance cooperation and investment between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, particularly in the real estate sector. The session was attended by several ministers and officials, as well as businessmen and investors from both countries.
