The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities has begun the process of withdrawing several residential units from certain beneficiaries across all governorates, as part of the Social Housing Apartments Program. This move comes as a result of these individuals failing to comply with the contractual terms outlined in the conditions booklet, which is designed to ensure that financial support reaches those who truly deserve it.
The Ministry published an official statement on its Facebook page, outlining the procedures for withdrawing social housing units from certain categories. These include the following points:

If a beneficiary rents out their housing unit without obtaining prior approval from the New Urban Communities Authority, this is considered a serious violation that will result in eviction from the unit.

In the event the beneficiary fails to take possession of the housing unit within the agreed-upon timeframe, the Social Housing Fund has the right to take immediate action to cancel the allocation.

If forged documents are submitted during the application process for obtaining a housing unit, the unit will be withdrawn without exception, and all legal measures will be taken against those involved in the forgery.

Using the housing unit for non-residential purposes—whether administrative or commercial—is also considered a violation.

Additionally, if the beneficiary transfers ownership of the housing unit to another person without obtaining written approval from the New Urban Communities Authority, the unit will be immediately withdrawn.
The Ministry of Housing has formed judicial inspection committees to conduct regular inspection campaigns on all social housing units across various governorates. These committees are tasked with taking the necessary actions against violators, which may include the withdrawal of the housing unit.
