Engineer Ahmed Othman, a member of the Housing Committee in the House of Representatives, affirmed that the real estate platform announced by the government will boost the marketing of Egyptian properties both locally and internationally. This initiative will support real estate exports and increase investor confidence.
He emphasized the importance of the government following up on the implementation of the advisory committee’s recommendations, particularly regarding the launch of an electronic platform that facilitates property acquisition for foreigners. The platform aims to be Egypt’s global real estate marketing hub, offering multiple services in different languages, along with an interactive map of available investment projects, and providing details on booking and electronic payment systems.
The parliament member explained that the platform seeks to simplify property registration procedures by setting flexible conditions. The advisory committee recommended issuing an initial registration certificate for investors to begin the registration process and obtain residency while completing the final procedures without delaying property utilization. The committee also proposed the creation of a recognized temporary electronic registry and the development of a digital authentication system, including the acceptance of electronic signatures.
MP Ahmed Othman highlighted the platform’s significance as an opportunity for real estate developers to showcase their projects. He stressed the necessity of providing accurate data on available projects to enhance investor confidence and called for the platform’s activation and continuous updates.
