Technical Offers from a Global Company for Smart and Sustainable Utility Projects

Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, met with representatives of a global company specializing in innovative solutions to discuss integrating these technologies in new cities’ drinking water and wastewater projects. The New Urban Communities Authority and Project Management Unit representatives also attended the meeting. Ismail emphasized equipping new towns with the latest integrated operation systems.

Dr. Sayed Ismail stated that, following the directives of the Minister of Housing, meetings were held with company representatives to assess the necessary studies for the utilities, drinking water, and wastewater sectors. The company’s representatives presented studies conducted in New Alamein and New Cairo and a plan for employee capacity building. The discussions also included implementing innovative systems in New Alamein and developing pilot models to apply modern technologies in utility management.

The Deputy Minister directed that the company’s technical and financial offers be thoroughly reviewed, stressing the need to implement measures that ensure optimal utilization of technology in utility management. He also emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination meetings to establish practical steps for leveraging innovative solutions to achieve the ministry’s vision of delivering high-quality drinking water services in new cities.
