The Supreme Council of Universities has announced that it has received approval from the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities to allocate a 150-feddan plot of land in Capital Gardens for the establishment of a new university campus for Helwan University. The necessary procedures for this project are currently underway.
The Supreme Council of Universities held its regular meeting at Cairo University, presided over by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of Dr. Mostafa Refaat, Secretary-General of the Council, and its members.
The council thanked Cairo University, led by Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadeq, for hosting the meeting.
Dr. Ayman Ashour expressed his happiness in celebrating the diamond jubilee of the Supreme Council of Universities, marking 75 years since its establishment. He emphasized the crucial role of the council and its sectoral committees, including distinguished academic figures contributing to advancing Egypt’s higher education system. He also stressed the importance of continuing to develop educational programs across various fields to enhance the quality of education, align with global advancements, and ensure that graduates are well-equipped to meet the demands of both the current and future job markets.
