Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, discussed with Major General Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the implementation status of joint projects within the framework of the presidential initiative “Decent Life,” which aims to develop Egypt’s rural villages.
At the beginning of the meeting, El-Sherbiny praised the ongoing cooperation between the Ministry of Housing and the Arab Organization for Industrialization, highlighting that the meeting aims to overcome any obstacles that may hinder progress and ensure seamless project execution.
The minister also referred to his recent visit to the engine factory affiliated with the organization, considering it an honorable model for Egyptian industries.
El-Sherbiny reaffirmed the Ministry of Housing’s full support, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to localize drinking water and sanitation industries, particularly within “Decent Life” projects for developing rural villages. This aligns with the political leadership’s directives to promote local industry and rely on domestic products in project implementation and maintenance operations.
The meeting also addressed the status of ongoing projects, including drinking water stations, in collaboration with the Arab Organization for Industrialization and its affiliated factories within the “Decent Life” initiative.
