The Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, met with the Head of the New Cairo City Authority, Engineer Abdel Raouf El-Ghaity, to review the latest developments in infrastructure and road projects in the Beit Al Watan area for Egyptians abroad. The minister emphasized the importance of expediting road and infrastructure works to provide suitable housing for Egyptians living abroad while facilitating their ownership of land and residential units.
El-Ghaity and his team also conducted a field visit to monitor the progress of Sewage Treatment Plant No. 4, which plays a crucial role in enhancing the city’s sewage system.
The Head of the City Authority confirmed that an immediate solution for Sewage Treatment Plant No. 4 in the Beit Al Watan area has been activated to transfer the wastewater flow to the treatment plant.
El-Ghaity also followed up on the progress of road construction in the streets and principal axes of Beit Al Watan’s neighborhoods, stressing the necessity of completing the work quickly. He urged project officials and contracting companies to adhere to specified deadlines, maintain the required quality, and comply with industry standards and technical regulations.
He further pointed out that the Beit Al Watan project is located in the northern extension of the city, bordered by the Cairo-Suez Road to the north and the Middle Ring Road to the southeast. Additionally, it extends southward along Mohamed Bin Zayed Road, which leads to the New Administrative Capital.
The project consists of eight residential neighborhoods, in addition to the South Suez area, the 1,000-acre Orchid area, Zones 3-4 north of the 1,000 acres, Zone 5, and the 433-acre area. It also includes service areas and main axes connecting the different neighborhoods of Beit Al Watan.
