The Governor of Luxor expressed his gratitude to the minister and the affiliated authorities for their swift response in repairing the malfunction that caused water outages in residential areas. He explained that the city’s two sewage pumping stations experienced technical failures. However, the issue was promptly addressed. The minister and the governor also discussed proposals to prevent the recurrence of such problems. It was agreed to implement a dual project that involves replacing the existing pipeline with a 700 mm diameter pipe and constructing a second pipeline with a 1200 mm diameter, connecting it to Sewage Station 3 and the treatment plant.

The minister assigned the Arab Contractors Company to take the necessary technical measures to resolve the issue swiftly. Additionally, the company’s deputy chairman oversaw the repair and maintenance work. Representatives from several entities, including the Drinking Water and Sanitation Regulatory Agency, the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation, and the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation, were also instructed to be present on-site. They develop a solid action plan and regularly monitor the project’s progress.
