Intensifying Road and Utility Development in Industrial Areas of 6th of October and New Suez

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, emphasized the importance of enhancing the development and efficiency of roads and infrastructure in the industrial area of the 6th of October City and the industrial district of New Suez City. This came during his follow-up on ongoing development projects, including improving roads, water supply networks, sewage, electricity, and increasing green spaces. Additionally, the Deputy Heads of the 6th of October City Authority conducted a field tour to monitor infrastructure improvement works, including reopening a traffic lane that had been closed for years on Hamada Imam Street, which will help ease traffic congestion.

Officials from the 6th of October City Authority supervised the removal of waste on 15th Street to improve traffic flow while preparations are underway for asphalt work as part of a comprehensive road development plan. Concrete work is also being monitored on 47/100 Street according to the specified timeline in response to investors’ requests in the industrial area.

In a related context, Engineer Asmaa Makhlouf, Head of the New Suez City Authority, conducted an inspection tour to oversee a water pumping station supplying the industrial area, stressing the importance of monitoring water quality and implementing occupational safety standards.

The Authority’s Head also inspected the connection work for the alternative pipeline in the first sector of the 900 mm water transmission line, which will be completed soon to ensure continuous water supply during emergencies and maintenance operations. Engineer Asmaa Makhlouf confirmed that the industrial district is witnessing significant infrastructure development, including improvements in water and sewage networks, road and infrastructure development, increased electricity network efficiency, and expanded green spaces. These enhancements make New Suez City a comprehensive model that boosts investor confidence and achieves sustainable development.
