Engineer Amin Ghoneim, Deputy Head of the New Urban Communities Authority, conducted a field visit to monitor wastewater treatment plant projects in the 15th of May City, accompanied by several officials. During the visit, the delegation inspected the first phase of the wastewater treatment plant, which has a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters per day, and reviewed the progress of the second phase, which will have a capacity of 20,000 cubic meters per day. Ghoneim emphasized the importance of accelerating work on the second phase to ensure it becomes operational soon while adhering to environmental standards and maintaining treated water quality.
The tour also included a visit to the integrated sewage treatment plant in the 290-acre area, which has a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters per day. Relevant authorities were instructed to expedite the completion of the project and integrate it into the city’s wastewater service improvement plan. Additionally, future plans for developing utility networks and infrastructure and enhancing operational efficiency and maintenance were discussed.
Engineer Amin Ghoneim stressed the importance of continuing efforts to develop public utilities and adhering to project timelines. This visit is part of the New Urban Communities Authority’s broader efforts to enhance service quality and meet the needs of the city’s residents.
