Minister of Housing Inspects Development Works in Al-Shate’ Area and Water Station in New Damietta

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, concluded his tour in the Al-Shate area of New Damietta City, where he inspected the ongoing improvements to roads, fences, walkways, and parking areas. The development works included asphalt restoration, the creation of parking spaces, the replacement of lighting poles, the cladding of fences with stone, and the installation of wooden shades and seating areas. Additionally, the efficiency of public restrooms was upgraded, and the site was enhanced through landscaping and beautification.

The Minister of Housing emphasized the need to accelerate the completion of these works with high quality and to utilize vacant spaces to attract investors to New Damietta City while improving the efficiency of surrounding roads. Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny also inspected the city’s drinking water station, reviewing the efficiency upgrades, monitoring system, and ongoing operation and maintenance processes to ensure water quality. He stressed the importance of maximizing the station’s capacity to meet current and future expansions and ensuring its operation according to the latest systems.
