Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting in New Mansoura City to review the progress of ongoing projects and maintenance operations. Officials from the ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority attended the meeting. During the session, the minister listened to a presentation by the head of the city’s administration, covering revenue, expenses, and sales figures for the first phase. He also reviewed the progress of key housing projects such as Sakan Misr, Janna, and the distinguished housing units. Additionally, the minister followed up on the status of New Mansoura University and infrastructure projects in the second phase, instructing the team to accelerate the pace of work.
The minister further examined the emergency measures taken to resolve the recent water supply issue in the city and discussed proposed solutions to prevent similar occurrences. He emphasized the need for weekly follow-ups on the implemented measures and requested direct reports on the progress.
After the meeting, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny stressed the importance of continuous monitoring of ongoing projects and called for developing a comprehensive plan for the operation of New Mansoura City. This plan should include various events and activities that align with the city’s status as a tourism gateway in the Nile Delta. The town has multiple housing types: tourist, villas, and middle-income and social housing. Additionally, all essential services are being provided alongside the presence of a regional university.
